Subgroups - Aims/Objectives The Partnership has three sub groups, the Training sub group, the Resourcing
sub group and the Sure Start sub group and convenes a number of time limited
task groups as required. The aim of the Resourcing sub group is to target funding available from
the Early Years Development Fund, the Sure Start monies, the Childhood
Fund Peace II monies and the New Opportunities Fund so as to meet the
Partnerships aims and objectives, as set out in the Partnership's Childcare
Plan. The Information Officer works closely with the group to update and
review indicators of social need. The Partnership is committed to ensuring
that at all times the needs of children with disabilities and those from
ethnic minorities are taken into account. The aim of the Training sub group is to review the quality and availability of training for childcare staff and put together an annual training plan giving details of the training and development needs of the sector.
